VIPA Problem Determination Commands

Basic commands

• Display routing table

  d tcpip,,omp,rttable

• Display connected routers

  d tcpip,,omp,ospf,routers

  • should be 2 router connection on each system.

  • if only one displays connectivity is still available

• Display OSPF neighbors

  d tcpip,,omp,ospf,neighbors

  • This will display not only the connected routers but also any LPAR that is defined on the same OSA card

• Display OSPF interfaces

  d tcpip,,omp,ospf,interfaces

  • This will display not only the physical interfaces but all of the VIPA interfaces active and defined to omprout

• Display OSPF statistics

  d tcpip,,omp,ospf,stats

• Display Virtual Connection Routing Table

  d tcpip,,n,vcrt

  • Will display all  destination IP addresses, port, source IP address and destination XCF address

• Display Virtual Destination Port Table

  [Used for viparange port distribution]

  d tcpip,,n,vdpt

  • Will display IP address, port number and destination XCF IP address the totalconn is a cumlative counter

if you add ,detail to the VCRT and VDPT commands you will see WLM information
