Project Management is the discipline of planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project's goals and objectives. A project is an effort with  specific start and completion criteria undertaken to create a unique end result. The characteristic nature of projects stands in sharp contrast to processes, or operations, which are functionally permanent  and repetitively process.  The objective of project management is to achieve all project requirements, goals, and objectives within the project constraints including scope, quality, time, and budget. The Project Manager's challenge is to direct the allocation and integration of necessary resources to meet pre-defined objectives.  A project is a thoroughly defined set of activities that use resources to achieve the corporate goals and objectives defined by the requirements thereof.
