The Law of Life

Today I want to blog about the most important principal I know.  Today I want to teach you God's most fantastic law.  Today I want you to learn the lesson that will enrich your life and will keep you happy.

The law is this:  What you sow is what you reap.  What you plant, is what you harvest.

Whew!  Now that is a two edged sword isn't it?

What do I mean by a two edged sword?  A one edged sword will only cut in one direction.  It only cuts on one side.  Like a kitchen knife only cuts on one side, so you can push on the dull side when you cut something tough and not be cut.

A double-edged sword has sharpened edges on both sides.  So it cuts, going down and up; back and forth.  You can't push on the backside because both sides are sharp.

So, I mean God's law (what you plant is what you harvest) is like the two edged sword.  If you sow good seeds you will reap a good harvest.  If you are good to people, good will come back to you.  If you sow bad seeds though ... bad things come back to you!  Even if you are forgiven by God because of Jesus ... the seeds will still grow and you will still have to harvest them.

So, why am I telling you this?  I'm telling you so that while you are still young you can begin forming a habit of planting good seeds.  So you can plant seeds of love, faith, and encouragement among your friends and peers.  Peers are all the people who you are around - kids in your class or at your lunch table or on the playground.  Peers are people you are not necessarily friends with but you know.

That's it for today.  Think about this.  You see how hard I had to work to get my life straightened back out ...  I was reaping my harvest ... a harvest full of bad seeds.  I also sowed many good seeds I am reaping that harvest as well!  Do you see what I mean?  I am forgiven of my sins because I am a Christian and I believe in the Jesus and his sacrifice; but I still have to reap my harvest.  I have learned through this that I should be more careful about the seeds I sow.
